每年的10月1日是中华人民共和国的诞辰，这一天承载着特殊的历史意义，见证着新中国发展的风雨与荣光。自1949年新中国成立以来，国庆节逐渐成为全体中国人凝聚家国情怀、传递爱国热忱的重要节日。在国庆节期间，全国各地都会举办丰富多彩的庆祝活动，首都北京的升旗仪式、盛大的灯光展演、城市街头飘扬的五星红旗，构成了最热烈的秋日图景。除此之外，国人也会以自己的方式欢度假期：或是阖家团圆出游观景，或是走访红色场馆感悟历史，或是驻足城市街巷感受盛世繁华。这次英语角，我们不止是简单介绍节日习俗，更会和大家聊聊国庆节背后的历史故事、中国的家国文化，以及新时代下中国人对祖国的热爱与祝福。欢迎各位学生踊跃参与，跨越语言壁垒，沉浸式感受专属中国的浪漫与赤诚。
Observed annually on October 1st, this festival marks the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 and carries profound historical and cultural significance. It is a special occasion that honors China’s extraordinary development journey, celebrates national unity, and embodies the deep patriotic feelings of every Chinese person. During the National Day holiday, the whole country is immersed in a festive atmosphere. Five-star red flags can be seen everywhere on streets, squares and buildings. Grand national flag-raising ceremonies, brilliant light shows, cultural performances and various public celebrations are held across the nation. For Chinese people, this holiday is not only a time to celebrate the motherland’s birthday, but also a precious chance for family reunion, travel and relaxation. It allows people to slow down, appreciate the prosperity of the country, and inherit and carry forward the positive national spirit. In this activity, we will share the origin, traditions and stories of National Day, discuss Chinese people’s understanding of family and country, and communicate freely about cultural differences and unique festival customs. No matter what your English level is, come and join us to experience the warmth and power of Chinese National Day culture!

口语英语角专为中外学生共同交流设计，在轻松氛围里自信开口、互相学习，用双语讲出中国故事，让文化成为最好的沟通桥梁。鼓励大胆开口，练习英语口语的同时，纠正发音与语法，说出更地道的英语或中文，主题清晰、表达简单、中外互助对话，双向提升语言能力，拓展国际视野。
如果你想深入了解中国传统文化背后的故事，或者你正在准备英语口语考试，愿意用英语开口聊聊，也许只是有点好奇、有点害羞，但想试着迈出一小步，那么这个英语角，就是为你准备的。我们不追求完美表达，只鼓励勇敢开口，每一次分享，都是更好的开始。
This English corner is built for Chinese and international students. In a relaxed vibe, you'll speak with confidence, learn from one another, and share Chinese stories, turning culture into a bridge for communication. We encourage you to speak up, practice your spoken English, improve your pronunciation and grammar, and also help international students to get to know more about Chinese. With clear topics, simple expressions, and peer support across cultures, you'll grow your language skills in both directions, and broaden your global perspective as well.
If you want to go deeper into the stories behind traditional Chinese culture, are willing to talk in English about the flavors of your hometown or the tastes of your childhood, or are simply a little curious, a little shy, but ready to take one small step forward, then this English corner is for you. We don't chase perfect pronunciation. We just encourage brave voices. Every time you share, it's a fresh start toward something better.
