中国茶文化源远流长，历经数千年传承，是中华传统文化中极具代表性的雅致符号。茶不仅是一种饮品，更是中国人修身静心、待客交友、体悟生活的独特方式。在中国众多茶饮流派中，潮汕功夫茶以精细考究的冲泡技艺和浓厚的民俗特色独树一帜，成为中国民间茶文化的经典代表。
潮汕特指广东东部的潮汕地区，包含潮州、汕头、揭阳三座城市。这里依山傍海、民风淳朴，保留着最地道的岭南民俗文化，当地人热爱生活、重情重礼，饮茶早已融入日常衣食住行，成为刻在地域骨子里的生活习俗。
潮汕功夫茶是国家级非物质文化遗产，区别于粗放的日常饮茶，它讲究“小壶小杯、高冲低斟、快进快出”，对茶具、水温、茶水比例、冲泡手法都有着严格的要求。整套流程仪式感十足，温杯、纳茶、高冲、刮沫、低斟、分茶，每一步都精致考究。不同于大口畅饮，功夫茶重在慢泡、细品、静悟，茶汤醇厚回甘，苦中带甜，正如平淡从容的生活哲理。
对潮汕人而言，功夫茶从来不是刻意的风雅，而是日常的烟火。闲暇自酌、亲友相聚、待客会客，一壶功夫茶便能拉近人心、消解浮躁。它承载着潮汕人的待客礼仪与处世智慧，也淋漓尽致地展现了东方茶文化温润、内敛、平和的独特魅力。

Theme of This Week: The Soul of Chaoshan Gongfu Tea
Chinese tea culture has a history of thousands of years and is an essential part of traditional Chinese civilization. For Chinese people, tea is far more than a simple drink. It represents a lifestyle of peace, self-cultivation, hospitality and relaxation. Among various local tea traditions across China, Chaoshan Kung Fu Tea stands out with its unique craftsmanship and profound folk culture.
Chaoshan is a cultural region in eastern Guangdong Province, consisting of three cities: Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang. This region preserves authentic Lingnan folk customs. Local people value etiquette, hospitality and a simple lifestyle, and tea drinking has been an indispensable daily habit for hundreds of years.
As a national intangible cultural heritage of China, Chaoshan Kung Fu Tea features delicate and standardized brewing techniques. Different from casual tea drinking, it pursues precise water temperature, proper tea proportion and skillful pouring movements. The whole process includes warming teacups, filling tea leaves, high pouring, skimming foam and low serving. Every step focuses on refinement and ritual.
Kung Fu Tea advocates sipping slowly rather than drinking quickly. The tea tastes mellow and sweet after slight bitterness, which embodies the philosophy of life. In Chaoshan, people drink tea in daily leisure, family gatherings and guest receptions. It calms anxiety, connects people and carries local wisdom and manners. This elegant tea art perfectly interprets the gentleness and tranquility of traditional Eastern culture.

This English corner is built for Chinese and international students. In a relaxed vibe, you'll speak with confidence, learn from one another, and share Chinese stories, turning culture into a bridge for communication. We encourage you to speak up, practice your spoken English, improve your pronunciation and grammar, and also help international students to get to know more about Chinese. With clear topics, simple expressions, and peer support across cultures, you'll grow your language skills in both directions, and broaden your global perspective as well.
