5月13日晚六点半,哈工大图书馆留学生服务中心成功举办英文系列讲座第一期 《EBSCOhost学术资源检索》。该讲座面向全校学生，以留学生中的硕博学生为主要适用人群。
我校留学生人群，尤其是硕士生，对图书馆的电子资源不甚熟悉，无法充分利用它们服务于自己的科研，又由于语言障碍不能受益于馆内定期推出的文检培训。因此，我馆留学生中心推出全英文的文检培训引起留学生人群的普遍关注。首期培训讲座以EBSCO公司旗下的ASP和BSP两大数据库为讲解重点，涉及文、理、工等诸多学科。参与培训的留学生在讲座结束后积极提问，并向此次培训的讲座人石老师表示衷心感谢。
这是我馆首次推出全英文培训。英文文检培训的推出标志着我校图书馆国际化服务能力与人性化服务水平的提高。今后我们将根据读者需求陆续开展一系列特定主题的英文培训活动，助力我校学生的科研能力成长。
On 13th, May, Library Service Center for International Students (LSCIS) has provided an online lecture for post-graduate students in HIT. The lecture, all in English for the first time and focused on information retrieval (IR), is an initial attempt of a series of training classes expected to be launched in the future months.
Most of the undergraduate students from abroad, especially the master students, are not familiar with the huge amounts of e-resources in HIT library, and unable to attend the training seminars on this topic produced by library due to the language barrier. In view of this situation, a series of IR trainings given in English is highly expected and the first one, consisting mainly of EBSCO databases, attracted many international students. They spoke highly of these trainings and consider them to be very conducive to their academic research.
The introduction of English IR trainings is another unique service of HIT library, and is believed to be a new step to perfect the library’s service system.
